Breaking: BYU–Pathway Secures NUC Accreditation, Opens New Opportunities for Nigerian Students | ClipTV Online

The Brigham Young University – Pathway (BYU–Pathway Worldwide) an online institution and affiliate of BYU Idaho has on Tuesday confirmed it’s accreditation by the Nigerian National University Commission (NUC). BYU Pathway President, Brian K. Ashton announced the accreditation during visit to the Lagos Global Education Center (GEC) at a devotional with students and other officials in Lagos on Friday.

This is termed a significant milestone. During the BYU-Pathway officials previous visit in 2025 led by the institution’s Chief Information Officer, Mr. Troy A. Davis, the NUC gave a nudge that propel student’s hopes.

This achievement follow a series of meetings between the institution and the NUC.

The authorization has therefore paved way for greater recognition of BYU Pathway academic programmes. It has also create new opportunities for students across the country.

The accreditation marks an important development for both current and prospective Nigerian BYU Pathway students. It reinforces the institution’s commitment to delivering quality higher education that meets recognized academic standards.

The achievement is expected to boost confidence among learners seeking internationally recognized qualifications. Furthermore, it will strengthen educational collaboration between Nigeria and the university.
