7th ALGOVC Annual National Conference, Award Night: A Grassroots Development  Groundbreaking Event |ClipTV Online

The Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGOVC) is set to host its 7th Annual National Conference and Awards/ Gala Night on the 6th of December at 7pm.

The event is poised to highlight the importance of local governance in national growth. This prestigious training and gathering is scheduled for 4th – 6th December 2024, at the NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja.

This year’s conference is centered around two pivotal themes:

“Local Government Autonomy for Sustainable Food, Security, and Grassroots Development”

Empowering Local Leaders through Digital Economy for Effective National Growth.

The event underscores the need for autonomy in local governance. It also highlights the role of grassroots leadership in addressing food security and fostering sustainable development.

Additionally, the emphasis on the digital economy highlights the transformation of local governance systems to meet 21st-century challenges.

Vice President Kashim Shettima will chair the occasion, supported by Hon. Aliyu Wakili Boya (MHR) as the Deputy Chairman.

Other prominent guests numerous to mention are also expected.

This year’s Principal Host is Hon. Bello Lawal, National President ALGON while the Chief Host is Aarebirin Hon. Princess (Dr.) Folashade Olabanji-Oba, the National Chairman of ALGOVC, whose commitment to grassroots development is second to none.

Before emerging as the ALGOVC National Chairman, Aarebirin Hon Princess (Dr.) Olabanji-Oba served as the Association’s National Deputy Chairman four years.. Her impactful contributions to grassroots development during these years cannot be under estimated as the Hon. Vice Chairmen all over the country in Nigeria has remained great pillars in their various local governments. On this note we celebrate our quintessential great leaders and our principals the Executive Local Government Chairmen.
