CBA @ 60: Otti Celebrates Akinyemi, Calls for National Renewal | ClipTV Online

Successfully climbing the decades of life requires wisdom and purpose. The sixth floor of life marks the arena of senior citizenship. As Apostle Citizen Bolaji Akinyemi (CBA) celebrates his 60th birthday, he officially launched his latest book, Global Leadership Code: Donald Trump as a Case Study.

Eminent personalities from across the country gathered on Wednesday at the NAFOWA Multipurpose Hall, Nigerian Air Force Base, Ikeja, to celebrate the auspicious occasion.

In his keynote address, the Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, commended the celebrant for his doggedness in speaking truth to power.

He congratulated CBA on the occasion of his diamond jubilee, noting the crucial role played by individuals like him who dare to speak the truth to those in positions of authority.

The governor explained that the destiny of a nation is shaped by the ideology, perspectives, and moral character of its citizens.

“In appreciation of the enduring mission of the apostle’s life, we shall… share a few thoughts on the dynamics of social accountability and the imperative of building a Nigeria that works for every citizen,” he noted.

“Greatness does not merely happen because it is desired; it is the outcome of the consistent efforts of citizens to make demands on themselves and on those at the helm of affairs,” Otti added.

In his congratulatory message, Governor Otti emphasized that political offices are privileges entrusted by the people.

“Privileges are therefore not trophies to be displayed for applause but a call to be attentive to the burdens of society,” Otti said.

“Congratulations are in order, especially in light of the fact that Akinyemi’s life has been modelled on the values of courage and honesty,” he said. He further notes Akinyemi unwavering commitment to the philosophy of stewardship and accountability.

Otti underscored Akinyemi’s understanding that all individuals are merely caretakers of their lives. He stated that no one is the “owner of the privileges that the benevolence of the Creator has bestowed on us.”

He congratulated Apostle Citizen Bolaji Akinyemi and wished him greater heights as he continues to climb the ladder of life.

“Happy birthday, dear apostle of the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”

He described Akinyemi as a conscious citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Furthermore, Otti said that the joy, enthusiasm, and atmosphere of gratitude at the venue bore eloquent testimony to how lives and aspirations have been shaped by Akinyemi’s work for the Kingdom of God and through his advocacy as a civic leader in the broader national space.

He concluded his speech with a remarkable tribute to the apostle’s people-centred service. He then offered a heartfelt prayer that reflected his admiration for Akinyemi’s calling.

“May I, once again, congratulate our dear brother for his years of steadfast service to humanity and for finding the right channels of expression for his calling. Like every family member, friend, and well-wisher here in this room and across the globe, I pray that God will continue to bless, strengthen, and expand your sphere of influence in the years ahead. Happy birthday, dear Citizen.”

The milestone ceremony which was witnessed by the celebrant’s 95 year old father was a moment of emotion for Apostle Citizen Bolaji Akinyemi. It was also reflection of a life conduit to be mirrored.
