Polaris Bank Provides support to SMEs

Polaris bank has reiterated that it is committed to serve the Small and Medium-scale Enterprises (SMEs) and to stimulate economic growth in the South-South part of Nigeria by opening the new Everyday Supermarket branch in Yenagoa.

The official entry of the retail chain into the Bayelsa market and a major milestone in the expansion efforts towards the retail and business in the region can be traced to the grand opening that was held in Bay Bridge Junction on the Kpansia-Epie Expressway, Bayelsa State in the country.

In her address at the launch, the Directorate Head, Polaris Bank, South-South, Mr. Raphael Abaziem, highlighted the launch as an achievement to growth, resilience and the strength of strategic partnership.

This milestone, according to him, is not just the opening of a new outlet but it shows our joint commitment to economic growth, local business growth and access to better quality goods and services by the people of Bayelsa state.

Mr. Abaziem observed that Polaris Bank has remained a reliable business partner to SMEs in Nigeria as it provides innovative banking offerings, capacity-building aid, and flexible funding to enable businesses to grow in a sustainable manner.

He praised Everyday Supermarket because of its consistency and business excellence and went through with the fact that the collaboration is in line with the mission of Polaris Bank since it empowers entrepreneurs and promotes inclusive economic growth.

Mr. Obiora Onunkwo, Chief Executive Officer of Everyday Group, was also present at the event and he was grateful to Polaris Bank that the bank has been supporting it throughout the years. He said that branch Yenagoa will be a gateway to open more job opportunities, empower the local supply chains, and make the South-South region more convenient to customers.

The new Everyday Supermarket store is among a number of business expansions that Polaris bank has been contributing to over the last few months, which is in line with the strategic vision that Polaris bank has of developing the SME sector as a driver towards national development.
