Remo Secondary School (RSS), one of Ogun State’s foremost public secondary schools, has set a new benchmark in secondary education. The institution 2026 graduation has set a new standard through a pioneering university-style valedictory ceremony.

The historic event brought together students, parents, teachers, alumni and eminent guests in a celebration that mirrored a university convocation. Graduating students appeared in full academic gowns and caps. On the other hand, school’s management, teachers and national executives of the Remo Secondary School Old Students’ Association (RSSOSA) also wore academic regalia. This has created an atmosphere of academic excellence and prestige.

This innovative ceremony is considered a first of its kind for a public secondary school in the state. It was designed to inspire students as they transition into higher education while fostering a deeper sense of achievement and responsibility.

A major highlight of the event was the award presentation to distinguished students with outstanding academic performance and good character.

In a significant boost to educational advancement, the Hope Bridge Social Impact Foundation awarded full tertiary education scholarships to 25 deserving students. The foundation provided them with the opportunity to pursue higher education without financial constraints.

Speaking at the ceremony, the President of the Remo Secondary School Old Students’ Association (RSSOSA), Sir Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, KOF, congratulated the graduating students. He further commended the dedication of the school management, teachers and parents in shaping their academic and moral development.

He also applauded the Ogun State Government, led by Governor Dapo Abiodun, for its sustained investment in education. The KOF particularly noted the Yellow Revolution Initiative, which he said has significantly improved the learning environment in the State’s public schools.

Aare Emmanuelking further acknowledged the contributions of the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, for his leadership in advancing educational development in Ogun State.

The event also underscored the strong commitment of the school’s alumni association. Recognizing its contributions to the continued growth of the institution through active engagement and support.
