Set up Joint Task Force, NYCN Ikorodu Division to Chairmen – www.cliptvonline.com ~

The Forum of Coordinators of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ikorodu Division has called on all the council Chairmen in Ikorodu Division to as a matter of urgency set up Joint Task Force to curb the menace of cultist in the Division.

The Coordinators made this known in a communique released at the end of it emergency meeting held at Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.

The statement reads in part:

That;

1. All Local Council Chairmen in the division should as a matter of urgency set up Joint Task Force (JTF) in their various domains.
2. All Local Government Chairmen in the division should as a matter of urgency call for peace and security meeting consisting of all requisite stakeholders including youth council Coordinators as youth representative.
3. Local Government Chairmen in Ikorodu Division should empower and provide requisite funding for Police and Local security outfits in their various domain.

The communique also hint that the youth council will host a security summit as a matter of urgency to proffer measures towards achieving a lasting solution.

The National Youth Council of Nigeria is established by the National Youth Policy and Lagos State Youth Policy as the umbrella body of all youth organizations and the mouth piece of youths. This constitutional burden empowers the Coordinators as the first youths of their respective Local Government.

You will recall that Ikorodu is currently battling with insecurity issues related to Cultism.
