Leading financial institution, Fidelity Bank Plc, has partnered with MONAT to sponsor the 2026 Young Innovators Camp. The free educational initiative is designed to equip children with practical skills in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
The camp, scheduled to commence on July 20, 2026, is aimed at preparing children for the future. It will expose them to hands-on learning experiences that foster creativity, innovation, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
According to the organisers, participants will engage in guided STEM build sessions. Adding that it involves age-appropriate science and technology activities, financial literacy classes. Also available as part of the camp is creative exercises and interactive group learning facilitated by experienced instructors.
The programme is expected to stimulate curiosity, build confidence and encourage practical learning among children. It is strategically built to nurture the next generation of innovators.
Speaking on the partnership, the Divisional Head, Brand and Communications, Fidelity Bank Plc, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, said the initiative reflects the Bank’s commitment to investing in the future. He explained that the bank is empowering children with skills that will enable them to succeed in an increasingly technology-driven world.
He further noted that the future belongs to individuals who can think creatively, solve problems and leverage technology. He added that the program will children to improve lives, stressing that such abilities should be nurtured from an early age.
“Through the Young Innovators Camp, we are giving children the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics in a fun, practical and engaging way that inspires curiosity, builds confidence and encourages innovation. We want every child who participates to leave believing that they have the potential not just to succeed in the future, but to help create it,” Nwagboh said.
He added that Fidelity Bank views STEM education as a strategic investment in Nigeria’s future, noting that today’s young learners will become tomorrow’s engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, inventors and technology leaders.
According to him, the partnership with MONAT goes beyond supporting a camp. He described it as an investment in raising a generation equipped with the skills, mindset and confidence to solve real-world challenges and contribute meaningfully to national development.
The Young Innovators Camp builds on Fidelity Bank’s broader corporate social responsibility agenda. The responsibility prioritises education, youth empowerment, skills development and initiatives that improve long-term opportunities.
The programme also complements the Bank’s education-focused interventions, including SWEETA, an initiative dedicated to supporting children’s development and learning.
To further encourage continuous learning beyond the camp, each participant will receive a specially curated gift pack. The package contains educational resources and STEM learning materials for use at home.
Participation in the camp is free, and parents and guardians are encouraged to REGISTER children between the ages of 4 and 10 years. Registration allows themto benefit from the initiative. The programme underscores Fidelity Bank’s continued commitment to helping young Nigerians grow, thrive and prosper through quality education and innovation.
