Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome’s Foundation Showcases Past Winners and Encourages Future Leaders

In a significant stride towards grooming future leaders for Africa, the Future Africa Leaders Foundation, founded by Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome PhD, DSc, D.D, hosted a media conference at Providence Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, as part of the 2023 Future Africa Leaders Award initiative.

Established as a pan-African organization, the foundation aims to prepare young Africans to assume leadership roles globally. It identifies, celebrates, and supports individuals who have exhibited outstanding leadership qualities, positively impacting their generation through education, youth empowerment, and various mentoring projects.

It is worthy to note that over $1 million has been pumped in the future africa leaders award since the inception years ago. Every year, each of the 10 winners is supported with $10,000 with extra $25,000 for the star price winner.

The media conference served as a platform to showcase past winners, shedding light on their accomplishments and inspiring other young Africans to step into leadership roles. Mariama, the 2023 star prize winner, shared a powerful message, encouraging youth to stay and contribute to the development of their countries. She emphasized the importance of developing one’s mind, addressing the psychological aspects of poverty, and urged young people to pursue their targets, starting small if necessary.

This event underscores the Future Africa Leaders Foundation’s unwavering commitment to fostering the next generation of African leaders. The foundation aims to facilitate systemic change in Africa by instilling values of innovation, responsibility, and service among young leaders.
