The Glamour Role Model Award started in 2012 with the vision to encourage those in the nation serving as role models for others to follow.

The GRMA 2020 is the 5th edition in the series. The is to be a yardstick by which role models with good exemplary leadership qualities from all walks of life are celebrated by all and sundry. To encourage them to keep being good role models to the up coming generation. Glamour Role Model Award celebrates women and men growing their careers while understanding the responsibility that comes with being a role model and the need to inspire others to the same.

In her welcoming message the founder Ambassador Tokunbo Casson said some of those honored showed how indigenous and local communities can lead the way. She also mentioned that they are on the front lines of the struggle for sustainable development. The efforts and resources of us all are needed yo respond to global challenges.

They challenge each of us to reflect on how we can do more for sustainable development and to be an example most especially to the youth. May their commitment and resolve be an inspiration to act on.
