Ijede LCDA APC Chairmanship Aspirant, Onamade Attacked, One Killed, Others Injured

….The recent attacks on me and my business has had immense adverse effect on businesses and people around which can relate to future catastrophe if no justice is done…. I seek the assistance of all in the position of authority to come to my aid.

Hon. Onamade Oluwatosin who is a native of Oke-eletu, mortician by profession and an APC Chairmanship Aspirant for Ijede LCDA made this known on Saturday during the press conference held at Abule Eko Ijede LCDA to seek for help and report the murder case of his staff Mr Ifeanyi Etunmuse Tony Godfrey who was killed by the hoodlums that attacked himself and other staffs in his office centre at WESTERN FUNERAL HOME LIMITED, Abule-Eko, Ijede LCDA, Ikorodu, Lagos where Mr. Godfrey – 54 years was murdered by gun shot.

The attack was carried out on Friday 16th April 2021 at about 5:30pm. “This is not the first attack” said Onamade. There has been series of physical attacks by hoodlums known as the EYE cultist group, being engineered and sponsored by the current Ijede LCDA Chairman Hon. Fatiu Jimoh Salisu, he said. There were traces of blood, cutlass and broken bottles as press men and women peruse the scene at the graveyard in the cemetery.

The APC Chairmanship Aspirant reported that his blood brother Mr. Oluwafemi Onamade was SHOT AND MALICIOUSLY BEATEN TO COMA. The 38 years Oluwafemi was part of those in the office at the time of the incident, he could not handle the situation as the hoodlums storm the office in their numbers. He was immediately taken to the Ijede General Hospital at the arrival of the police men. Information later reached the family that there is a plot to maim the patient at the hospital, then the police officers immediately arranged for the relocation of Mr. Oluwafemi from the hospital to a more secured hospital and away from the reach of the cultist group.

Onamade however called on the Lagos State Government, that as a law abiding citizen, seeking for the State intervention in the case so as to reduce more blood shed and save lives.”I was attacked personally and gracefully survived it” where a lot of thugs had confronted me face to face about 6 months ago who threatened to kill me if I refuse to denounce my participation in the upcoming LCDA election. Not succumbing to the threats, they started vandalizing my Chairmanship posters at the local government” with warnings to stop contesting with the incumbent chairman of the LCDA, he said.

He appealed to the people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as well as the Federal Government to come to his aid at this point that series of petitions had been sent to the DSS, SSS and the Lagos State Commissioner of Police regarding this matter, also the APC Chairman Lagos State has told him to calm down before this last attack that forced him call for this press conference.

He also allege Hon. Fatiu Salisu Jimoh as the subject unionizing the cultists against him. “All fingers points to him, just a week ago my posters were vandalized at the APC secretariat in the LCDA” he said. I have been winning more people to the APC party, I have the vision to make the party great and to improve the livelihood of members of the Ijede LCDA, that does not make me a threat, he added.

He concluded: I hope that the death of Mr. Godfrey will not be in vain, that he and his family will get the deserved justice. I pray and hope that the family will be able to bear the loss, most importantly that they also get justice. This is my reasons for calling on the press, security officers, Nigerians and all who are in the capacity to bring these culprits to book. Nevertheless, I still have my brother in the hospital, praying that he will survive.
