LASODA EMPOWERMENT IN PLAN FOR PWDS IN 2021-Ogundairo – www.cliptvonline.com ~

The Lagos State Office For Disabity Affairs (LASODA) has revealed that there is an on going empowerment plans for the people with disabities (PWDS) by the Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo Olu in the year 2021.

The General Manager of( LASODA) Mr. Ogundairo Oluwadamilare made this known during the 1st election held on Saturday at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium,Alausa Secretariat Ikeja ,by the National Association of Person with Physical Disability,(NAPWPD)that the Administration of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo Olu has pledged to run the government of inclusion to leave no disability behind but to improve and value their rights and empower them with good tools to bring out the Ability in their disabilities.

The General manager expressed that Lagos State Government has already enrolling the people with disabilities on vocational training at the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation. While he declared that the importance of government commitment has made Sign language training programme to be continuous one and more focused.

He Congratulated newly emerged Chairman of( NAPWPD)Lagos State Chapter, Prince Adeniyi Rotimi who also received a certificate of return as he was declared the winner in the election ,with a wide margin of 167 votes to defeat his opponent,the Lagos State Public Affairs Officer Mr Ademiluyi Adebowale who just Scored 7 votes, and the winner was encouraged to selflessly serve the people with commitment that is without fear.

The newly emerged Chairman,Prince Rotimi Adeniyi expressed his joy over the victory and thanked the people who had given him support to reach the height,also commended the Lagos Government that has always been including the persons with disabilities in yearly empowerment of the government.

He however pledged to make health available and created for wealth among the PWDs in his projects.

The National Secretary of( NAPWPD) Comrade Ignatius maintained that it is important for the group to silence all unconstitutional positions found among the PWDs till its approved to be contested for…..positions like State,National,Youths and Women leaders. While he described the election exercise as clearest and peaceful ever in Lagos state.
