As the 2025 Local Government Elections in Lagos State approach, the Women of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward B of Imota Local Council Development Area yesterday, Sunday, April 27, 2025, rallied behind the aspirations of Hon. Olumide Adeleke Shofowora (Onward) ahead of the party primaries slated for May 10, 2025.

This declaration took place during a meeting with the women of the party in Ward B to ensure that their roles as key stakeholders in grassroots politics are not neglected, and the meeting was attended by members of the Onward Campaign Committee and women across different zones within Ward B of Imota LCDA.

The Onward Campaign Committee, led by Hon. Olumide A. Adeleke, presented its campaign manifesto titled “ONWARD Agenda” to the women. He outlined his proposed programmes and projects aimed at benefiting all residents of Ward B while seeking for the women’s support. Hon. Shofowora promised to prioritize the promotion of women in his agenda.

Hon. Shofowora expressed his gratitude to the women of Ward B for their strong support and unwavering commitment to championing gender balance at the grassroots level.

The women also expressed their appreciation for Hon. Shofowora’s recognition of women, and assured him of their commitment to work towards his emergence into the Legislative Arm of Imota LCDA, referencing his track record, among other expectational qualities.

The meeting ended with a formal and public endorsement of Hon. Shofowora’s candidacy, and they pledged their strong support for his bid to become the next Councillor of Ward B in Imota LCDA.
