The second annual charity event of Osaro’s Helping Hands Foundation was nothing short of spectacular, drawing an impressive turnout of widowers, the elderly, and the less privileged. The 2024 edition, held in Ikorodu at the Palace of the Fidimolu of Elepe Kingdom, featured the distribution of foodstuffs and cooked meals to over 300 beneficiaries, exceeding last year’s reach of 200.

This year’s charity initiative was further enriched through a strategic partnership with Edo Union Denmark, showcasing the foundation’s growth and its commitment to alleviating hunger and poverty.

A Royal Welcome

The event commenced with the royal blessing of HIM, Oba Ganiyu Omotayo, the Fidimolu of Elepe Kingdom, who warmly welcomed Mrs. Rosemary Osaro, the foundation’s founder, and her team. The royal father praised the foundation’s efforts and encouraged the beneficiaries to remain orderly, underscoring the significance of such charitable acts in supporting his kingdom’s most vulnerable.

• Alhaja Toluwalashe, one of the beneficiaries, noted the harsh economic realities. The Alhaja acknowlege the importance of the support in such a time like this. She recounted the food items received as rice and beans. However, she noted that others got beans and Casava flour (Garri). Toluwalashe prayed for the continued success of the foundation and its partners.
• Elder Olaiya extended his gratitude, recognizing the foundation’s dedication to supporting the elderly and less privileged. He prayed for divine blessings on the foundation’s efforts.

A Vision of Giving

In an interview, Mrs. Rosemary Osaro, the founder of Osaro’s Helping Hands Foundation, shared her lifelong passion for alleviating suffering and poverty. Reflecting on her childhood dream of helping others, she said, “I was praying to God for the opportunity to help others, and now I am living that dream.”
