Portable Arrested in Lagos Over Alleged N14 Million Unpaid Debt | ClipTV Online

Singer Portable, known offstage as Badmus Habeeb Okikiola, found himself in the spotlight for the wrong reasons. Portable was arrested by the police in Lagos State on Tuesday, May 14, over an alleged N14 million debt. Information gathered indicate that portable purchase a Mercedes Benz GLE 350 with Chassis Number:  4JDA5HB6GA656575 worth 27 million Naira from a car dealer in Epe area of Lagos State.

However, it is alleged that he only paid N13 million of the total amount and has since refused to settle the remaining N14 million, citing dissatisfaction with the vehicle’s value.

The document signed by Portable indicate he is to pay the sum of 12 million Naira as first payment on the 10th of January. Second payment of 5 million Naira was scheduled for January 24 while the third parent of million was to be paid on the 10th of February. The balance of 5 million Naira scheduled for 24th of February, 2024.

Nevertheless, it has been over four months after the payment of 13 Million Naira. The car dealer also complained that the payment made was in piecemeal. The dealer unhappy with Portable shenanigan, hence, the reason to report to security agency.
