Rotimi Jacobs Celebrates Remarkable Legal Journey: CON Award, 10th as SAN, Launches Book on Criminal Justice Procedure | Cliptv Online

In a momentous three-in-one event, renowned legal luminary Rotimi Jacobs SAN was celebrated for his exceptional legal career. The occasion marked the conferment of the CON Award, the commemoration of his 10th year as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), and the launch of his book on the Administration of Criminal Justice Procedure.

The event, graced by various distinguished personalities, was chaired by the Executive Governor of Lagos State, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin. The governor lauded Rotimi Jacobs SAN, CON for his unwavering commitment to upholding legal standards and his enduring support for the nation throughout its challenges. “He has consistently upheld the principles of the law, recognizing the significant role that the bar and bench play in achieving the objectives of justice,” the governor emphasized. He commended the newly launched book, noting its potential to enhance understanding of criminal justice administration. The governor even recommended the book to federal agencies and his own administration.

The Minister for Labour and Employment, Hon. Simon Bako Lalong CON, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the celebrant and acknowledged his exceptional legal acumen. He urged all attendees to keep the nation in their thoughts and prayers during these trying times.

Chief Wole Olanipekun OFR, SAN, an esteemed legal practitioner, had the honor of unveiling Rotimi Jacobs’ book during the launch. In his speech, Chief Olanipekun acknowledged Jacobs’ long-standing battle against injustice, particularly during his tenure with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Jacobs, a highly respected figure in the legal profession, has collaborated closely with the EFCC to secure convictions against notable individuals in society.

Chief Olanipekun expressed that many felt a sense of unease until Rotimi Jacobs was finally elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria. He offered his prayers for Jacobs to attain even greater success and surpass his seniors in the field.

The book unveiling was followed by joyful celebrations, including dance and merry-making.
