Information Technology is a double edge sword that needs to be constantly monitored. This is was pronounced by professor Adenike Osofisan at the second convocation ceremony of Trinity University Yaba.

The Trinity University three days planned convocation ceremony to end on Friday has multiple educative packed activities one of which is the lecture by Pro. Osofisan.
Osofisan, a computer science professor, data mining specialist has earned different awards from faculty of computer both local and international. She therefore posses the ascendancy to lecture on information technology.

Addressing the Trinity University convocational lecture: Disruptive Technology, the Ambiguous friend, she highlighted the pros and cons of information technology. Osofisan further state the importance of awareness to both sides of information technology for proper usage. She specifically speak to the students “I am basically speaking to the Gen Z”, she said.

She also caution on the amount of personal information uploaded to the internet as this can be counter used for negative purpose in the future. She sighted examples of how personal infomation innocently uploaded to the internet can be used negatively.

She then warned that as much as information technology can advance development and civilization, individuals should be abreast of both the good and evil sides of technology.

Deacon Adebowale Robot Tade, the Chairman of the day express total satisfaction with the convocation lecture.

This lecture is a testament that Trinity University has the human and technology resources to develop and prepare students for the evolving world.
