…IYCON Industry Mourns as CEO, Chief Ifeanyi Ekwulugo, Lays Mother to Rest in Grand Ceremony

In a week-long series of events, Chief Ifeanyi Godwin Ekwulugo, Chairman and CEO of IYCON Industry Company Limited, bid a final farewell to his beloved mother, Late Chief Mrs. Edith Nnoyelum Ekwulugo, in a grand burial ceremony held in Anambra State.

The commemoration commenced with a solemn Service of Songs on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Pa Christopher Anajekwu Ekwulugo Family compound, Ummezeana, Okpuno Otolo Nnewi, Anambra State. The event drew family members, friends, and well-wishers who came together to pay their respects and honor the life of the departed matriarch.

The Funeral Service took place on Friday, January 5th, at 11 am, at St James Catholic Church, Otolo Nnewi, Anambra State. Following the service, the late Chief Mrs. Edith Nnoyelum Ekwulugo was laid to rest at the family compound in Ummezeana, Okpuno Otolo Nnewi, amidst heartfelt tributes and condolences.

Saturday, January 6th, was dedicated to traditional processes, as family members, friends, and well-wishers continued with greetings and expressions of support during the trying time.

Sunday, January 7th, marked a day of Thanksgiving at St James Catholic Church, Otolo Nnewi, Anambra, beginning at 9 am. Family members, friends, well-wishers were at the church for Thanksgiving ceremony. The ceremony was followed by a reception at Pa Christopher Anajekwu Ekwulugo Family compound.

The high-profile event witnessed the presence of notable personalities, including the Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Governor Charles Soludo, his Deputy, H.E. Onyeka Ibezim, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi, former Governor of Anambra State and LP presidential candidate, Chief Valentine Ezigbo, Chief Jude Okonkwo, Chief Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, Chief Innocent Chukwuma (Innoson Motor Boss), Chief Gabriel Chukwuma Gabros, Chief Emma Bishop Okonkwo (Chairman Ekulo Group of Companies), Chief Cletus Ibeto (Chairman CEO Ibeto Group of Companies), Chief Michael Onuoha (CEO Alien Oil and Gas Ltd), Chief Okey Ikesiebe, Chief Gregory (Cristal Social Club), among others.

The heartfelt ceremonies paid tribute to the life and legacy of Late Chief Mrs. Edith Nnoyelum Ekwulugo, offering solace and support to Chief Ifeanyi Godwin Ekwulugo and his family during this challenging time.
