

Ogun State Governor Praises Egbetokun’s Competence and Experiences
Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has expressed his congratulations to Mr. Kayode Egbetokun on his appointment as the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The governor commended Egbetokun’s elevation, along with other newly appointed Service Chiefs, the National Security Adviser, and the Comptroller of Customs, as well-deserved, citing their competence to excel in their respective positions.
In a statement from the Governor’s Office, Governor Abiodun emphasized the honor that Egbetokun’s appointment brings to Ogun State. Being an indigene of the state, the governor expressed his confidence in the new IGP’s ability to perform his duties effectively. With Egbetokun’s vast experience from working in various commands, formations, and departments across the country, Governor Abiodun believed that he would bring his wealth of knowledge to bear on the job.

Governor Abiodun further stated, “I congratulate Mr. Kayode Egbetokun on his elevation to the exalted office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This is an honor done to us in Ogun State. I believe in the capacity of the new police helmsman to deliver on his mandate to secure Nigeria.”
Expressing his confidence in Egbetokun’s abilities, Governor Abiodun emphasized the values that the people of Ogun State uphold, such as hard work, competence, and dignity. He expressed his belief that the new IGP would meet the expectations of Nigerians and work towards building a competent, trustworthy, accountable, courageous, and honest police force for the nation.
