IGP Egbetokun Decorates Olabisi Okuwobi as ACP, Recognizes Her Impactful Leadership |ClipTV Online

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, on Monday, January 7, 2025, decorated Mrs. Olabisi Okuwobi, the National Coordinator of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), with her new rank as Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).

The occasion which was hosted at the Force Headquarters in Abuja can be considered one of the defining moments in her career as it gives credit to all her hard work and efforts in successfully introducing and spearheading the fight against cultism and all sorts of antisocial behaviors in Nigeria through non-kinetic activities.

Mrs. Olabisi Okuwobi has been more particularly active in the POCACOV proactivity, which has based its aim of preventing crime on education, participation, and activism. Her exemplary interventions in the thirty-six states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory has achieved the decrease in cultism related incidents and behavioural change of youths.

IGP Egbetokun commended the efforts of ACP Okuwobi diligence, professionalism and commitment towards the achievement of the Nigeria Police Force. Noting that she is committed to reducing crime in the country. He further state, this has come at the right time and called for hard-working and dedicated officers to embrace the calls for corporate excellence in delivery of services.

The IGP also underscored the importance of non-kinetic approach of POCACOV in creating peace and security in the communities. Moreso, “such measures are something that could help in sustainable way in eradicating crimes,” he said.

In conclusion, ACP Okuwobi’s promotion is the cumulative testimonial of morale boosting.
