INEC Opens Online Registration for 2027 General Election Ad-Hoc Staff | ClipTV Online

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the online engagement of ad-hoc personnel for the 2027 General Elections. The registration will be through its INECPRES (Portal for the Engagement of Election Staff).

According to the Commission’s official portal, registration is currently open and will close on November 18, 2026. Applicants are required to register through the INECPRES portal.

Available categories include Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPO), Registration Area Centre (RAC) Manager, Presiding Officer/Assistant Presiding Officer (PO/APO), and Registration Area Technical Support (RATECH), with specific eligibility requirements for each category.

INEC states that applicants must not belong to a political party or have demonstrated or expressed support for a candidate or political party. Applicants are also generally required to reside in the state selected, except for RATECH applicants.

The Commission says registration should be completed through the official INECPRES portal, where applicants can review eligibility requirements and begin their applications.

INEC also states that registration is free of charge and cautions applicants not to pay anyone for application processing or shortlisting.

Applicants requiring assistance can use INEC’s official helpdesk or contact the Commission through its Citizens Contact Centre.

The commission further stated that the INEC Android mobile App will be beneficial in the process. It added that it can also be accessible via the APK link here.
