In an effort to mitigate the planned protest scheduled for August 1, the Lagos Indigenous Youth Network (LIYN) has urged Parents in Lagos State to caution their Children not to be a partaker of any upcoming protest scheduled for the 1st to 10th of August 2024 because it may be dangerous to individuals and family persons.
This was revealed on Sunday, during the Press Conference held by the side of the express Road, MKO Abiola Gardens, Alausa secretariat ikeja, where the Youth in Lagos came together to advocate for a peaceful dialogue over protest.
Speaking at the conference, the Lagos Indigenous Youth, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende said Lagosians should be considerate to support the hard-working Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, in this race, to protect Lagos State our heritage. Because what has happened in the past in the Endsars protest is enough to help us avert sorrows and Lives & Properties destruction.
He expressed further on how the Governor of this Administration, has been so inclusive in his commitment with his strategic plans, to have provided employment for the Youth in Lagos State, through the Rail line, Lagos Rhyde, Grants to the Business Owners through the Ministry Of Wealth Creation and Employment, LSETF, Ministry of Youth and Social Development and the Office of the Civic Engagement.
He stated that Lagos has been working tirelessly to prioritise the affairs of the youths beyond toying, by adding some plus to the youth in Lagos, with the Lagos State THEMESPlus Agenda which basically creates a special attention to the youth.
