NCC Seeks Public Input on Satellite Direct-to-Device Connectivity | ClipTV Online

‎The Nigerian Communications Commission is inviting stakeholders to participate in a public consultation on the potentials, risks and public-interest considerations in relation to Nigeria Satellite Direct-to-Device connectivity.

‎Furthermore, the commission noted that the Consultation Paper represents a preliminary stakeholder engagement. Stating that it is in line with the Commission’s participatory and transparency-driven regulatory approach, prior to the activation of any formal rule-making process under S. 71 of the Nigerian Communications Act 2003.

‎Also, NCC clarified that the response of participants will help in shaping the Commission’s decisions on Satellite connectivity. “Feedback received will inform the Commission’s assessment and guide its decision-making on any regulatory framework on Satellite Direct-to-Device connectivity in Nigeria,” the commission noted.
