NYCN Lagos State Chapter Inaugurates New Imota Executives | ClipTV Online

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Lagos State chapter has inaugurated a new executive at its Imota Local chapter. The electoral process was praised as free and fair by Comrade Lukman Owoyele, who commended the electoral officers for their thorough preparation and effective execution.

Comrade Abdul-Hakeem Agbaje, the General Secretary of the Lagos State council, explained the integral aspects of the election. He highlighted that the ballot papers were specifically designed to address emerging electoral challenges. Additionally, attendance was meticulously recorded before the election, with attendees required to sign in to ensure transparency and fairness. Despite 38 individuals being in attendance, only 37 ballot papers were issued and counted, maintaining the integrity of the election process.

In his welcoming address, Comrade Folarin Adegboyega, the outgoing Imota coordinator, thanked his working committee for their dedicated service and expressed gratitude to the sponsors who supported their efforts. He urged the incoming executives to be more vibrant than ever before.

The Lagos State chapter chairman, Comrade Sulaiman Biliamin Oba, also applauded the electoral officers for their due diligence.

He thanked the Executive Chairman of Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA) for his immense contribution towards the NYCN Imota Local chapter’s developmental projects and achievements.

Oba praised Adegboyega for his role in projecting Imota youths across Lagos State and charged the new executives to be united in decision-making, advising them to “disagree to agree.”

Hon. Wasiu Agoro, the Executive Chairman of Imota LCDA, commended the NYCN’s efforts in Imota and applauded the leaders for harmonizing the youths against social menaces.

He urged the new leadership to be gender-sensitive, expressing concern that only one female was among the executives. Agoro also encouraged the youths to be more participative in politics.

In his speech, the newly elected coordinator of Imota NYCN, Comrade Adebogun Oriyomi, committed himself and the new executive members to display the vibrance associated with youth. He declared his intention to advance the NYCN Imota Local chapter beyond its current state of development.
