Elder Enefiok Ntem led a profound session at the Ikorodu Stake conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where attendees were inspired by messages of love, service, and spiritual progression. Elder Enefiok, the area seventy who presided over the Saturday and Sunday sessions of the conference charged the stake members to do more loving.

The Ikorodu Stake President, president Ayodele Ajibola underscored the essence of ministering, drawing parallels from scripture where Jesus Christ humbly served the marginalized. He emphasized that love, devoid of judgment, is the cornerstone of effective ministering.

“Ministering does not have to be massive or heroic” he encouraged. Saying that ministering draws light from the Savior Jesus Christ. “As we minister, we share from the light of Christ” he continued.

Failure to love or minister also indicate we are losing the light we already have. He concluded by bearing a profound testimony of ministering orchestrated by love and the richness of the outcome of such ministering.

Sister Elliot, the Stake Relief Society president, encouraged attendees to relinquish their burdens to the Savior and highlighted the significance of the sacrament in nurturing spiritual vitality.

Emphasizing the importance of partaking of the sacrament worthily, she quoted from 1 Corinthians 11:27-30. The scriptures charges people to examine oneself before partaking of the sacrament.

President Samuel Ughala, the second counselor in the stake presidency, emphasized the importance of making righteous choices, drawing from scriptures to illustrate the blessings of obedience and resilience.

He also cited many blessings that comes from obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

President Fayehun, the first counselor in the Lagos mission presidency, emphasized the importance of following Church leaders and shared a poignant story illustrating the dividends of heeding prophetic counsel.

His talk titled Stick to the Brethren enlightened the audience on following the counsels of our church leaders. “There will be real growth if we stick to the brethren”, he said.

President Fayehun instructed that to be a good leader, an individual must first be a good follower. He then concluded by charging leaders to live an examplary lives.

President Charles Okoyomon, the first counselor in the stake presidency, Brother Uchenna Chibogu, a high counselor, and Sister Opeyemi Ogundare respectively inspire the crowd with gospel messages that propel change.

Elder Enefiok, the presiding officer, lauds the members of the choir. He spoke on the transformative power of becoming instruments in God’s hands. He underscored the universal call to fulfill the divine work of bringing souls to Christ.

Elder spoke on becoming angels to others.

“Members should focus on the temple ordinances and covenants as they concentrate on the temple”, he continued.

“In the last general conference, the brethren highlighted focusing on Jesus Christ, ordinances, and covenants.”

“Members should be prepared to receive the ordinances of the gospel through covenants so as to have the the endowment promised by the Lord. We should prepare people that are willing to live covenants. When a seven (7) year old is properly prepared to enter into the ordinance of baptism, he or she will value and keep the covenants.”

While addressing the leaders, Elder Enefiok said “The Lord sets the conditions of the covenant clear to us and leaders should make members know clearly too. Members should make the choice to participate in ordinance of their own free will”.

“Sometimes we go off the radar but that’s okay, that’s why Christ came, to help us return back”, he continued. Stating that the enabling power of the atonement of Jesus Christ has the ability yo save all who truly repent

“Ordinance is not about ticking tasks but preparing people son’s and daughters of God to make covenants. The covenant is going to create a special personal relationship between an individual and Lord”, he counseled.

“President Nelson taught in the last conference that we should rejoice in the priesthood.”
