The Gas King, Julius Rone Lay Father to Rest, Gave Befitting Burial – www.cliptvonline ~

In 1936, little did Chief Rone Ejejigbe and Mrs. Otaniokwho (Chief Rone Parents) know that they gave birth to greatness on the 26 of December. On that fateful day, Orugbo Town in Warri LGA humbly receive the Obasuaye (Ogienoyibo) that will later serve for 47 years.

Though, Chief Sunday Stephen Rone started his life humbly. He had his Primary School education in Burutu and later proceeded to Uromi for the completion of his standard six school leaving certificate. Nevertheless, he never let his humble begining obstruct nor deterred him from achieving the greatness deposited in him.

Later in his career pursuit, he became the Bursar for Hussey College – Warri. As the Bursar, he strive to ensure the success of each student in the college by supporting and encouraging several students in the college. These students including the late Olu of Warri Ikenwoli I and Atuwatse II, he ensure their educational journey at the Hussey College was a smooth and successful pursuit.

Very few people knew that the College Bursar was only employed as a gardener. However, due to his diligence, enthusiasm and competence at his job his promotion did not startle other employees in the college. This diligence was not only applicable to the paid job but also as a young man at home.

His first business as thrift collector also thrive with the application of same assiduity. He treat individuals based on their ability and help them grow their businesses, even the delinquents attested to this.

He continued on the ladder of ventures through consortiums and personal businesses. He became one of the largest Teju Foam franchise, assorted drinks distributors, cement dealer just to mention but a few.

He has served four Olu (Kings) of Warri.

Life could be beautiful, lovely, and sap. As Albert Einstein once said ” death is not an end to life if we can live on in our children and the coming generation.” These could be said of Chief Sunday Stephen Rone who departed this mortal life on the 26 of December, 2022.

Individuals, organizations, political leaders, government officials across the nation, was in Warri to asseverate their commiseration with the family. Their visit has also increase the economy of the Warri Kingdom as the burial ceremony will last a week long.

Chief Sunday Stephen Rone lived great and died great.

INTERVIEW SESSION

Mr. Israel Okoko, a childhood neighbor to the family said, he admires the family tenacity and doggedness. “No matter what your starting point is, it doesn’t decide what your finish point will be” he said, “father’s should develop broad shoulders so their children could stand on them and not be afraid” he concluded. This is the best way he could describe the family.

Representative of HE Douye Diri the executive governor of Bayelsa Hon. Dr. Stanley Braboke stated that the Bayelsa State government indeed sympathize with the Mr Julius Rone family on the demise of his father. He also encouraged all children to carry on the legacy of the Ogienoyibo.
