Hon. Prince Seyi Lawal Empowers Ikeja Youths with Free JAMB Forms

Seyi Lawal Pledge to Increase Beneficiaries

As part of his unwavering commitment to quality education and youth empowerment, Hon. Prince Seyi Lawal, member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ikeja Constituency 1, has distributed 250 free JAMB forms to qualified students in his constituency. The initiative, which took place at Irewole Street, Opebi, Ikeja, aims to ensure that no youth is left behind in their pursuit of higher education.

Speaking at the distribution event, Hon. Lawal emphasized that “Education is the greatest legacy anyone can give a child. Without it, one is missing out on opportunities for a brighter future.” He urged parents to actively monitor their children’s academic progress to ensure success.

Seyi Lawal Initiative for Youth Development

Now in its second edition, the JAMB form distribution is part of Hon. Lawal’s broader efforts to support education in his constituency. Last year, 200 students benefited from the initiative, with 15 of them securing admission into Lagos State University and Lagos State University of Technology through his diligent follow-up and advocacy.

“This initiative is open to all, regardless of political affiliation. We made sure information about the program reached all local government chairmen and political party leaders in the constituency to ensure every deserving youth could benefit,” he stated.

Hon. Lawal also announced plans to expand the initiative next year, promising to distribute 500 JAMB forms in 2026 due to the overwhelming turnout for this year’s exercise.

Community Members Express Gratitude

Parents and beneficiaries however expressed heartfelt appreciation for the lawmaker’s intervention. Mrs. Omolara Adio, mother of one of the beneficiaries, Toluwalase Adio, praised the initiative as a significant effort to alleviate educational barriers for families.

“Hon. Lawal’s continuous support is helping to reduce poverty in our community. May God protect and bless him to enable him to help more people,” she said.

Miss Tobenna Chiamaka Favour, a 2022 graduate of Fitjoy Secondary School one of the beneficiaries, nevertheless thanked Hon. Seyi Lawal for the initiative.

“I have been preparing for JAMB, but I wasn’t sure how I would afford the registration. This opportunity came at the perfect time, and I promise not to disappoint my parents and the lawmaker,” she affirmed.
