Honourable Prince Seyi Lawal of Ikeja constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly provided JAMB forms to almost 200 young adults. He didn’t stop at distribution but also organized a sensitization session to ensure the intervention’s effectiveness.
The intervention took place at his constituency office on Thursday, Cliptv can report.
In an interview after the sensitization, Prince Lawal explained the rationale behind the intervention and outlined his future plans for the constituency.
“I believe many students in my constituency lack the means to purchase JAMB forms. Some families struggle to afford it,” he said. “I see this as an opportunity to support them in furthering their education.”
Addressing the beneficiaries directly, he advised, “Choose your course wisely based on your capacity, not because of peer influence. Stay focused and study diligently.”
Concerned about their future, he warned against bad influences, emphasizing the importance of surrounding oneself with positive influences.
To stay connected, Prince Lawal established a WhatsApp platform for feedback from the beneficiaries. This platform will help track their admission status if successful.
Looking ahead, Prince Lawal pledged to engage the constituency in sports activities, providing opportunities for academic and non-academic youths alike. Sports such as football, draft, ludo, and many others will be introduced to promote community involvement and youth development.
