Residents of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA recently faced a contradiction from local government over alleged misinformation. The LCDA, led by Mayor Dele Oshinowo, addressed what they termed “misguided and malicious publication” by the Agboyi Progressive Union.

In a statement, the LCDA clarified key points regarding the ongoing construction of the Agboyi Link Bridge. They emphasized that Mayor Dele Oshinowo never claimed credit for the bridge, recognizing it as a Federal Government project.

The LCDA reiterated its commitment to transparency and collaboration, highlighting efforts to engage stakeholders throughout the bridge’s development. They acknowledged the collective contributions of various individuals and entities involved in facilitating the project.

Responding to claims of misinformation, the LCDA explained discrepancies in route information, attributing it to differing structural designs by the Lagos State Government and the Federal Government.

The LCDA however, defended its administration against accusations of superficial engagement, asserting dedication to action-driven strategies aimed at addressing community needs effectively.

Addressing Flood concerns relief efforts, LCDA then confirmed the establishment of committee to assess flood damage and take necessary action. Mayor Dele Oshinowo’s visit during the flood period was reaffirmed as an expression of solidarity with affected residents.

Dismissing criticisms regarding a solar-powered borehole project, the LCDA cited technical considerations and emphasized its effectiveness in providing water access to residents.

The LCDA therefore urged residents to disregard misinformation and seek accurate information from LCDA officials. The statement concluded with a message of unity, development, and blessings for the Agboyi Land and the Agboyi-Ketu LCDA community.
