Hon. Musawa Celebrates Clap Graduating Students

Through the Creative Leap Acceleration Programme (CLAP), the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, under the visionary leadership of The Honourable Minister, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, in partnership with The Fashion Academy Abuja (TFA), has successfully concluded a transformative one-month intensive training in Pattern Making and Professional Sewing Techniques.

The programme equipped participants with practical, industry-ready skills to thrive in Nigeria’s evolving fashion sector while inspiring a new generation of creatives to dream beyond boundaries.

We celebrate our graduating students for their dedication, creativity, and excellence, and extend heartfelt appreciation to The Fashion Academy Abuja, a leading institution known for its global standards in fashion education, craftsmanship, and enterprise development. For over a decade, TFA has remained a hub of innovation, empowering young designers to blend skill with vision and turn creativity into sustainable impact.

Many of the participants described the experience as truly life-changing. They shared how the training refined their technical skills, boosted their confidence, and opened their eyes to fashion as a viable and respected career. From mastering intricate patterns to achieving professional finishing, the students expressed deep gratitude to the Honourable Minister for her commitment to building an environment where young Nigerians can learn, grow, and thrive.

This initiative embodies the spirit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes youth empowerment, job creation, and sustainable economic growth through the creative sector. It also reflects the Honourable Minister’s belief that when talent is nurtured and given structure, creativity becomes a powerful force for national transformation.

As the graduates take their next steps, they carry not only new skills but also the confidence to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s fashion story, one defined by innovation, resilience, and cultural pride.

Through CLAP, we are shaping a future where Nigerian fashion stands tall on the global stage, reflecting artistry, opportunity, and the unstoppable spirit of our creative youth. 🇳🇬
