Abuja witnessed a significant stride in technological innovation as the Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, unveiled a range of new NASENI products at a media briefing held at the Agency’s headquarters.
Among the showcased NASENI branded products were the NASENI 300 Watts LED Solar Street Lamp, NASENI Laptop, NASENI Lithium battery, and Smartphone. This unveiling marks the fulfillment of a promise made by Halilu during the 2023 end-of-year press chat, where he assured that new NASENI products would be made available in the Nigerian markets by the second quarter of 2024.

Earlier in the first quarter of 2024, Halilu had introduced the Solar Irrigation Pump System, electric tricycle, and motorbike during a visit by the Senate Committee on NASENI, led by Senator Ezenwa Francis Onyewuchi.
Describing his leadership style, Halilu emphasized the importance of translating NASENI’s research and development (R&D) results from the shelves to the market, with direct impacts on people’s lives. He emphasized, “Through accelerated technology transfers and massive domestications, the renewed hope agenda of the Federal Government is on its full course in NASENI.”

The unveiling of these new products underscores NASENI’s commitment to technological advancement and its pivotal role in driving innovation for national development.
