It has been almost three months since his investiture as the Oniba of Iba Kingdom, Oba Dr. Sulaiman Adeshina Raji called Clerics for a special prayer. He also install other chiefs in the sub-region.
The Committee Chairman Hon. Emmanuel Sunday Kappo told the press that this is a laudable event. The success can not be over emphasized, in less than three months of coronation so much has been achieved. Today is only a day set aside for a special prayer. “The actual three months of coronation celebration will be in the coming days” he said.
The King is promising, he is young, agile and full of energy. He has also promised to involve the youths and the younger generation in his governance, hence the reason behind the young installed Baales’. We will support him and we are sure that the community members of Iba will also support his reign to achieve success as they already vouch their loyalty to the throne said Mr. Kappo. May his days be long.
He is not only focused on the throne but more on administering on the kingdom and establishing other sub kingdoms in Iba. Withing this first three months of his reign as the Oniba of Iba, he has built a maternity home for safe delivery of children in the kingdom.
In an interaction with some community members, we were told this is one of its kind. That no king in the kingdom so think of the health of the kingdom nor to progress to establishing or building a maternity, we are so much impressed. What imprinted his loyalty to the kingdom is that this is done in less than six months of his coronation as the Oniba of Iba said Mr. Taiwo a resident.
Mr. Taiwo also said he has crowned a number of Baales’ who are chiefs or life patrons over smaller communities. They over see the affairs of those sub kingdoms and report back to the King on issues that needs his attention while they handle other matters and reign over their kingdom. Two of those Baales’ were installed today. Though he has installed three Baales’ in the preceded week and also promised to installed other chiefs that will make community governing easier.
Alhaji Sulaiman Nurudeen the Ojo Branch A Chairman told ClipTv reporters that the newly installed Baale of Kemberi kingdom Alhaji Chief Abiodun is well known to him, he said it is an honor well deserved because he is a community developer. He has served in different capacity in the Kemberi kingdom and those services were selfless services. Though young but full of wisdom. I just can’t afford to give any advice because he seems to always know what to do and when to act. He listen to learn and also learn to listen, I pray he continue to do that and never deviate from what has been doing. I wish him longevity as he is now on the throne of his father’s. I also pray that things he has been praying for will come to him easily.
Mr Rilwan the Chairman of Base One, Oke-afa also express his joy over the Coronation of Dr. Abiodun as the Kemberi Baale. According to him the Oniba of Iba is bringing new things on board, that there’s no doubt in his mind that the King is the right person to be on the throne because if you look around you will notice since the inception of his coronation prominent personalities has been coming into the kingdom.
More reason I want to speak to the press is the fact that Dr. Abiodun is installed as Kemberi Baale, this gladdens my heart because our new Baale worth it. He is a community leader. He embrace and welcome people regardless of your indigenous status. He is not nepotistic in giving out reward, he gives to whoever deserves it. I am not from here, nevertheless, I was given the opportunity to serve in the community.
This is a laudable ceremony and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity given to me and others like me to serve despite our nativity.
He also said he prays that progress will continue to seek after Kemberi now that there is a new Baale, that there won’t be untimely death but young ones will grow to be aged.
Just after the coronation of the chief and Baales’ was the Special Prayers offered by the World Preacher (Oniwasi Agbaye). In his preaching he reiterated the importance of focusing and trusting on God and not been fetishistic. He also applaud the Oniba for his generosity towards clergymen, community leaders and members of the community members.
