The Alternative Bank Fosters Rural Economic Growth in Katsina

Katsina State Governor, His Excellency, Dikko Radda, has joined hands with The Alternative Bank to drive rural economic development. The bank’s innovative financial solutions are crafted to empower local businesses, fostering sustainable growth. This monumental endorsement aligns with The Alternative Bank’s mission and marks its inaugural branch in Katsina.

During the official visit, Governor Dikko Radda emphasized the pressing need to combat rural poverty and urged the bank to partner with the state government in this endeavor. He voiced confidence in The Alternative Bank’s ability to make significant strides in the region.

Represented by Malik Anas, Special Adviser on Banking, the governor stated, “We aim to enhance the growth of our rural populace. We welcome The Alternative Bank’s collaboration and pledge full government support for its endeavors to contribute to Nigeria’s economic development.”

Emir’s Thoughts

Dr. Abdulmumin Usman, Emir of Katsina, echoed Governor Radda’s sentiments, fostering a welcoming environment for the bank in the community.

Hajiya Fatimah Radda, the governor’s spouse, supported the bank’s mission and emphasized the importance of extending banking services to marginalized groups like widows and orphans. “Many in the local Katsina government areas remain unbanked. This represents an untapped opportunity for The Alternative Bank,” she noted.

Alhaji Garba Mohammed, The Alternative Bank’s Executive Director, reaffirmed the bank’s dedication to financial inclusivity, regardless of social status. He underscored the bank’s commitment to efficient, tech-driven services that promote customer growth and, in turn, national development.
