In a bold reaffirmation of her unwavering commitment to service and community development, Aarebirin Hon. Princess (Dr.) Folashade Olabanji-Oba has officially declared her intention to vie for the Ikorodu Local Government Chairmanship position under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). This follows her purchase of the party’s expression of interest and nomination forms. It marked the beginning of a renewed journey to deepen grassroots impact in Ikorodu.

Driving Development

A well-respected voice in public service, Hon. Princess Olabanji-Oba has been at the forefront of transformative leadership, championing causes around education. She has furthered women and youth empowerment, inclusive governance, and sustainable development. Her entry into the chairmanship race has been described as “a people-inspired mission” aimed at driving prosperity and unity across Ikorodu communities.

Ikorodu Renewed Hope

Aarebirin Princess Olabanji-Oba has gained valuable experience to deliver a renewed hope for Ikorodu. She is the  National Chairman, Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGOVC). At ALGOVC, working with 57 LG and LCDAs across the nation, Princess Olabanji-Oba has gathered experiences in leadership and politics. This experiences will also enable her lead Ikorodu successfully to the promise land.

She has obtained several honors for selfless service across the nation. She also recently got the Ikorodu 2024 Agent of Change award along with Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson. Dr. Folashade Olabanji-Oba has the charisma to positively influence those around her.

GMT Directorate

Furthermore, she was recently appointed as Deputy Director, Strategy and Planning, Grand Movement for Tinubu (GMT). This is a national initiative dedicated to promoting President Bola Tinubu’s achievements.

“Leadership is not about position—it’s about purpose and service. I am honored to contribute strategically to GMT’s mission and to help connect the vision of President Tinubu with the aspirations of everyday Nigerians, especially at the grassroots level,” she added.

With her dual engagement in local governance and national mobilization, Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba further to demonstrate visionary leadership and passion for building a legacy of transformation. Her campaign for the chairmanship is themed “The Pathway Forward… The People’s Choice Now and Beyond 2025.”
