PCRC National Golden Patron, Ogun CP Champions Grassroots Security | ClipTV Online

The National Golden Patron of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Sir Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, KOF, has called for stronger collaboration between security agencies and local communities. He noted that this is to address emerging security challenges and promote lasting peace across Ogun State and Nigeria.

The call was made on Wednesday during a Security Summit hosted by Aare Emmanuelking in Remoland. The summit receives the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Olubode Ojajuni, the leadership of the PCRC, traditional rulers, heads of security agencies, community leaders and other stakeholders for discussions on strengthening community policing.

The summit also provided a platform for participants to examine evolving security threats and explore practical safety strategies. These will improve cooperation between the Nigeria Police Force and the communities they serve.

Addressing the gathering, Aare Emmanuelking described security as a collective responsibility. He further noted that it requires active participation from citizens, traditional institutions and security agencies.

He urged residents to support law enforcement by providing timely and credible intelligence capable. The further stated that information provided should prevent crimes such as kidnapping, cultism, ritual killings, illegal arms trafficking and cybercrime.

“Security is far too important to be left to the Police alone. Every citizen has a role to play in safeguarding our communities. This is the vision upon which the PCRC was founded,” he said.

The PCRC National Golden Patron said the committee’s slogan, “PCRC… Peace to the Nation,” reflects the importance of collective action in combating crime. He stressed that intelligence sharing, mutual trust and community policing remain vital tools for enhancing public safety.

He also commended the Inspector-General of Police for his continued efforts to strengthen community policing across the country. The Adron Homes then praised the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Olubode Ojajuni, for his professionalism and commitment to engaging directly with community stakeholders.

Furthermore, the summit featured interactive sessions during which traditional rulers, community leaders, security experts and police officers exchanged ideas on emerging security concerns, intelligence gathering, crime prevention and measures aimed at strengthening public confidence in law enforcement.

Participants unanimously emphasized the need for sustained collaboration among the Police, the PCRC, traditional institutions, other security agencies and members of the public to effectively combat crime and improve security across Ogun State.

The event concluded with a renewed commitment by stakeholders to deepen community engagement, strengthen intelligence sharing and foster partnerships that will enhance peace, security and sustainable development in Remoland and across the state.
