The Edo State Police Command has apprehended four men alleged to be members of the Buccaneer cult group terrorizing residents in the Auchi area. The suspects were found in possession of a Beretta pistol and live cartridges, according to a statement released by the command on Friday evening.

The suspects were identified as John Limoh (32), Japhet Otaru (28), Toluwani Emmanuel (28), and Destiny Israel (22). Their arrest was announced via the police command’s official Facebook page.

The command stated that the suspects confessed to being members of the Buccaneer cult group, which has been linked to several disturbances in the Auchi vicinity. Investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of their involvement in criminal activities.

The police have assured residents of their commitment to curbing cultism and ensuring the safety of all communities in the state.
