Obasa Expresses Disappointment On The Turn Out Of LG Election – ClipTv Online

The speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa has described the recent local government chairmanship election as peaceful exercise ever that gives no violent report anywhere in Lagos and expressed disappointment over the low turn out of the voters in the exercise.

The Speaker made this known on Saturday at his area polling booth in Orile Agege where he casted his own vote, that Lagosians need to be encourage now that democracy has come to stay in Lagos and people should come out to choose the candidate they desired to serve them in the next four (4) years.

He expressed confidence that he has much believe that the All Progressive congress party (APC) would be successful in the exercise and lead Lagosians to the next progressive level. Also he commended those residents who came out to cast their votes.

The Councillor representing Ward E, Orile Agege LCDA, Mr. Wale Fayemi commended the electoral officers for arriving the area as early as 8:00am without delay to conduct appropriately the free and fair election in their environment and expressed displeasure on the voters low turn out as well as expressed confidence for more people cast their votes.

Ikeja local government area at Sunday Adigun Alausa secretariat also featured peaceful election even though the electoral officials arrived there at exactly 9:28am beyond the LASIEC 8:00am official time where movement were restricted with a lot of security operatives on ground.
