South West Group Appeals to President Bola Tinubu for Pipeline Surveillance Contract

The Niger Delta Coastline Vanguard (NDCV) in the South West has made a heartfelt appeal to President Bola Tinubu, urging his consideration in integrating the group into the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).

Omoniyi Majofodun, speaking to the press in Akure, emphasized the necessity of decentralizing the pipeline surveillance contract to each of the former warlords within their respective jurisdictions. This decentralization, the group believes, will lead to more effective service delivery and the desired results within the oil and gas industry in Nigeria.

Majofodun stated, “We urge President Bola Tinubu to address our concerns by awarding the pipeline surveillance contract for the South-West coastline to our leader, Akogun Job Omotuwa, who is the Chairman of Niger Delta Coastline Vanguard, NDCV, encompassing the South West region of Nigeria.”

He further conveyed the group’s commitment to the path of peace and its continuous efforts to advocate for peaceful collaboration with all security agencies. They are dedicated to ensuring adequate security and peaceful co-existence within the region.
