In a daring midnight interception, patrol officers from the Elere Division of the Lagos State Police Command thwarted a burglary attempt, recovering stolen goods and setting off a pursuit for the fleeing thieves.
At approximately 3:40 am, vigilant officers halted a Volkswagen bus laden with bags of flour and sugar in the dead of night. However, upon realizing the presence of law enforcement, the vehicle’s occupants hastily abandoned their loot-laden getaway, fleeing into the darkness.
An ensuing investigation uncovered that the seized goods were looted from a burgled shop in Iba, amplifying the significance of the officers’ timely intervention. With the recovered items promptly returned to their rightful owner, the police remain resolute in their pursuit of justice.
As the stolen goods find their way back to their lawful destination, the Volkswagen bus now stands as evidence in police custody. Efforts are underway to track down and apprehend the culprits responsible for this audacious crime, ensuring they face the full force of the law.
The incident underscores the unwavering commitment of the Lagos State Police Command to safeguarding communities and combating criminal activities. Through swift and decisive action, law enforcement remains steadfast in its mission to uphold peace and security across the state.
