Adekoya Moses Oladimeji, the current Deputy Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, has officially declared his intention to run for the position of Councillor representing Oworonshoki (Kosofe Local Government Ward A) in the 2025 local government elections in Lagos State.
In a statement announcing his candidacy, Oladimeji highlighted his extensive experience in local governance and his dedication to the community. “As the current Deputy Chief of Staff, I have gained valuable insight into the workings of local governance and the needs of our community,” he said. “My experience as the runner-up in the 2021 APC party primaries has further prepared me for this role and strengthened my resolve to serve our ward.”
Oladimeji’s commitment to community and youth development is evident in his ongoing initiatives. He has been instrumental in supporting the Oworonshoki Free School program at LonĂ© Street, rejuvenating the local basketball team by providing sports equipment, and collaborating with various NGOs to bring welfare items to needy community members.
“My diverse philanthropic and grassroots efforts span across sports, economy, arts, and education in the Oworonshoki community,” Oladimeji stated. “This shows my unwavering commitment to the growth and welfare of Oworonshoki residents.”
If elected, Oladimeji pledges to:
1. Amplify the voices of the youth and create more opportunities for their growth and development.
2. Leverage his experience in both the private and public sectors to drive sustainable development in Oworonshoki.
3. Foster transparent and accountable governance.
4. Work tirelessly to address the pressing needs of Oworonshoki Ward A, including but not limited to improving bad roads and tackling flooding issues.
