AOSTEM Center Prepares Students for 2024 JAMB Exam | ClipTV Online

In its effort to enhance the academic performance of students from Igbogbo/Baiyeku in the 2024 Joint Admission Matriculation Board Examination (JAMB), the Akinola Ogunlewe Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (AOSTEM) center organized an orientation. This event aimed to sensitize and prepare approximately 150 enrolled students for the exam.

Since its establishment in 2023, the AOSTEM Education Centre has trained and supported over 250 students in the science department, assisting them in gaining admission to various tertiary institutions.

Recognizing the significant gaps resulting from students’ lack of interest in science subjects, AOSTEM took on the responsibility of improving the academic performance of science-oriented students in Igbogbo/Baiyeku and surrounding areas in Ikorodu.

Speaking with Alhaji Qudus Oduntan, the director of AOSTEM education center who underscored the reason for the gathering. He said orientating the students was necessary having being tutored  for three months.

“The students need to to know what to expect in the computer base test,” he said.

“After this orientation, we want them to go and look at what we have discussed and see how they can improve on them so that at the end of the day, they can come out in flying colours in their exams.

The AOSTEM coordinator, Hon. Yinka Ogunlaja express appreciation to the Chairman of AOSTEM, Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe. “The Chairman has singlehandedly stage some students in tertiary schools”, he said. “He also finance the day to day running of the AOSTEM center he continued.

While speaking with our correspondent, Ogunlaja mentioned that he’s optimistic about the orientation, mentioning that last year was great and this Wil be better.

“not that most of the students do not know what to write during exams but they lack the exposure to computerized exams”, he said. “This is one of the reasons for this orientation program”, he continued.

One of the students by the name Adejola Hikmat mentioned that she’s confident of scoring above 250 in the exam. She hilighted her reasons as experience. Hikmat mentioned that she wrote the Jamb exam last year and therefore expose to how the Jamb exam work. She mentioned that is more prepare as she already completed the syllabus for English, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
