Hon. Shofowora assures ward executives of quality representation, among other promises.
In preparation for the 2025 Elections into the offices of Chairmen and Councillors in the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas in Lagos State, the Onward Campaign Committee today April 5, 2025, held a strategic meeting with the APC Ward B Executives at the Ward B Party Secretariat.
The meeting aimed to officially declare Hon. Olumide Adeleke Shofowora’s aspiration to the Ward B executives, discuss his campaign agenda and familiarize them with his manifesto, among others.
Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Owoyele Luqman, the Ward A Coordinator of the Omo Ologo Team, introduce Hon. Olumide A. Shofowora, highlighting his achievements as a student union and community leader in Imota LCDA and beyond.
The Onward Campaign Committee led by Ward Councillorship Aspirant, Hon. Olumide A. Adeleke, he presented his manifesto and went further to outline his proposed programmes and projects for the benefit of all Ward B residents, regardless of class, age, sex, or gender. He solicited support from all the Ward B Executive members, promising not to disappoint them.
Hon. Shofowora stated that all his campaign promises would be fulfilled and expressed appreciation to the Ward B Executives for their support and interest in his candidacy.
After thorough deliberation, the Ward B Youth Leader, Mr Azeez Animashaun, commended Hon. Shofowora for his decision to contest for the position of Ward B Councillor, citing his antecedents. He advised Hon. Shofowora to keep his promises and ensure the voices of both youth and aged are heard if elected to the Legislative Arm of Imota LCDA.
In the same vein, the Ward B Woman Leader emphasized women’s roles as key stakeholders and advised Hon. Olumide A. Shofowora (Onward) not to sideline them in his agenda.
The Ward B Chairperson, Hon. Saidat Orewale, applauded Hon. Olumide A. Shofowora for his good intentions and interest in grassroots development, urging him to respect party leaders and ex-officio members. She reminded the Onward Campaign Committee that three candidates are contesting and that whosoever emerges should be supported.
The meeting ended with a closing prayer and expression of gratitude to the Ward B executives. The Onward Campaign Committee and APC Ward B Executive expressed mutual support and appreciation for the meeting.
