Isese Day: Folashade Oba Celebrates With Nigerians | ClipTV Online

To mark the 2024 Isese day, Aarebirin Hon. Princess (Dr.) Folashade Olabanji-Oba has sent a warm smile to Nigerians.

As August 20 is set aside to celebrate the annual Isese day. Lagos, Osun, Oyo, Ogun states has declared the day as a work free day.

Aarebirin Folashade-Oba has joined the states leadership to wish Nigerians a happy Isese Day.

In her message, she said “a day is set aside to celebrate the Islamic Maulud Nabiyy. That is a day for Muslims globally to celebrate and rejoice annually.

“Same for the Christian to celebrate Christmas globally.” Nigeria as a multi-culture country should set aside a day to celebrate our indigenous culture.

Tradition has been part of culture nationwide and globally, therefore, it is important to celebrate Isese Day.

Folashade Oba noted that it is not just to celebrate but to set aside a special day for such celebration.

The aarebinrin therefore appluads Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the initiative to set aside August 20th for the Isese day.

She further appreciates other governors for following suit.
