
Lagos State Government has been urged to give equal rights to the Aworians of Lagos as others to represent in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The Onikotun of Ikotun Land, Arolagbade Adetutu, Igando Ikotun LCDA, HRM. Oba Azeez Gbalabiu Asiwaju disclosed this on Saturday during the Ikotun Traditional rites towards the shrine, that there is need for the Lagos state government to practice tribal equality to attract fairness and ensure that every division and tribe in Lagos appoint their representatives in all public offices like the House of Assembly, office of the Commissioner and others so as to make peace reign and for proper practice of Democracy in the State.
He commended the Lagos State government for countless support to making Ikotun great out of the local face it used to be, since his enthronement in year 2001.
The Monarch said that incompetence of the Federal Government of the nation has made insecurity to increase in Nigeria and that the country need restructuring to stop the killings caused by the Fulani Herdsmen, Boko Haram.
The Ikotun Hotelian, Otuba Odunayo commended the Oba for his moral and financial contributions towards the youth development in Ikotun. He also mentioned that without the government backing the Oba could not do it alone that government needs to come to Ikotun’s aids for more progress in the town.
