President Tinubu Stresses Commitment to Serving the People at APC NEC Meeting | Cliptv Online

During the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu reiterated his dedication to policies that benefit the Nigerian people rather than punish them. He urged the party to work together to fulfill the dreams of their founding fathers and make Nigeria the focal point of their domestic and foreign policies.

Addressing the attendees, President Tinubu emphasized the need for party loyalty and unity, especially in light of the challenges faced by the APC. He acknowledged the credibility of the recent elections in Nigeria and urged those who cannot accept the results of a free and fair election to reconsider their stance.

Speaking on governance issues, President Tinubu called for the careful regulation of policies and programs to ensure they positively impact the common man. He emphasized the importance of reducing the dollarization of the Nigerian economy to improve competitiveness internationally.

Addressing the current security challenges, President Tinubu reached out to international partners for help while ensuring the nation’s joy, peace, and happiness are not compromised. He urged Nigerians to be patient and supportive of the government’s efforts to reengineer the economy.

In a similar vein, the newly appointed National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdulahi Ganduje, pledged to prioritize internal democracy, wider consultations, and party functionality throughout the year. He stressed the need to defend and increase the number of executive and legislative seats held by the party.

The NEC also passed a vote of confidence on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the 2023 general election in response to criticism from the opposition parties. The party condemned attempts to discredit the electoral process and urged members to close ranks and work towards winning the forthcoming governorship elections in Kogi, Imo, and Bayelsa States.

Amidst the developments in the party, the National Legal Adviser, Ahmed El-Marzuk, resigned from the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to allow for a smooth reconfiguration of the party’s leadership.

Overall, the APC NEC meeting served as a platform for the party’s leaders to reaffirm their commitment to the Nigerian people, emphasize party unity, and address critical issues affecting the nation. As the APC moves forward, their focus remains on fulfilling their promises, addressing challenges, and serving the interests of the common man.
