In a show of solidarity and appreciation, members of Rivers Women Unite for SIM paid a visit on Rivers Deputy Governor, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu in her Port Harcourt residence on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.
The group led by Chief Mrs. Sotonye Toby Fulton extolled the sterling qualities of Prof. Mrs. Odu for her unwavering support for Gov. Siminalayi Fubara even in this trying time. They eulogized her for her uncommon humility, motherly leadership, and commitment to the administration of Governor Siminalayi Fubara. The women prayed for her continued strength, wisdom, health, and divine protection.
Receiving the group, the Deputy Governor, Prof. Mrs. Ngozi Odu, while welcoming them expressed joy over the visit and encouraged them to continue standing in the gap for peace, unity, and progress of the State.
She reaffirmed her commitment to advancing the welfare of women and supporting platforms that promote faith, family, and development. She further promised her willingness to support the Rivers Women Unite for SIM with her presence whenever needed.
The visit featured prayers, songs of thanksgiving, and words of encouragement, reflecting the unity and spiritual strength of the Rivers Women movement.
Highlights of the visit was the presentation of Rivers Women Unite for SIM designed T-shirt and face cap, and wrappers to the Deputy Governor by Chief Mrs. Sotonye Toby Fulton. The wrappers were gifts from some local government areas to the Deputy Governor during the Rivers Women Unite for SIM LGAs inauguration.
