This week, Kosofe Local Government demonstrated its commitment to education and community welfare through various initiatives and proactive measures.

The screening for the 4th edition of free GCE forms for indigent students, sponsored by Executive Chairman Barr Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe’s administration, was conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday. The process saw a significant turnout and was praised for its fairness and thoroughness.

On Wednesday, a crucial stakeholders meeting addressed the planned nationwide protest. Attended by key figures including Hon Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon, Barr Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, Hon Oluwole Șosanya, community and interest groups leaders, the meeting resolved to prohibit protests within Kosofe, as approved venues fall outside the local government’s jurisdiction.

The Executive Chairman, Barr Ogunlewe’s monthly address on Thursday emphasized ongoing development projects and called for unity among residents. He urged patience regarding federal policies, asserting their potential for positive outcomes.

These concerted efforts have contributed to the prevailing peace in Kosofe amidst the nationwide protests. The local government’s focus on education, dialogue and development continues to foster a stable and progressive environment for its residents.
